Deiter Family Photography Session

March 7, 2022

A fresh snowfall and the beautiful weather yesterday prompted a photography session with this sweet family. I have only gotten to know them over the last few months as they moved to Montana from Ohio. I admire the way they took this step of faith, settling into new community life and building a new business.

This was my first ever family session and I was a bit nervous about it. But I needn’t have worried. Nev and his wife, Karen, and their two adorable children made this session so easy and fun, I am able to believe that I could totally do this again. 🙂

The children were totally at ease, posing and doing whatever I told them to, even offering more suggestions than I came up with. 🙂 They were perfect little country stars, dressed in their little boots, cowboy hats, denim and plaid. Nev and Karen have obviously been doing a great job at parenting and I felt so honored to be able to capture their little family.

The fresh snowfall and the warm sunshine made it even better! I thought it was going to be a little bit too bright but it turns out the sun went behind the clouds at all the right times, allowing me to get some good shots in. 🙂

I love how the mountains provided a beautiful, dramatic backdrop to this family photography session. And by the looks of it, you would never know that these darling children and their parents weren’t born and raised in Montana!

Nev and Karen, I am grateful to know you as friends and hopefully we can get to know each other more as time goes by.:) We appreciate you and your family and thank-you for trusting me with your family photography session. I loved every minute of it!
