Maple Pecan Baked Brie

April 26, 2022

This sweet, gooey, cheesy appetizer is the perfect solution to a quick, delicious addition to your charcuterie board. Or for anything, really.

If you have never used brie, it is usually available at your local grocery stores and comes in round containers such as the one I used, pictured above. The cheese is usually wrapped in paper and when you cut it off, there is white circle of cheese with a hard rind around it. You will not want to cut off the rind for this recipe.

After it’s done baking, the cheese should be soft and gooey enough that when it is cut into with a knife it will kinda squish out in little piles. Use a knife or a spoon to cover your crackers and fruit slices with cheese and toasted pecans. Make sure to also dip it in the delicious maple, brown sugar topping. 🙂

This was my first time making this or even using brie so it was very satisfying for me to try this cheese and discover how amazing it was! I will definitely be making it again!

Delicious, gooey cheese with a crunchy, sweet pecan, maple topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 round container of regular brie cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons organic maple syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons organic brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • crackers, apples, or strawberries, graham crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove cheese from the container and cut off the paper wrap if there is one.
  3. Place the brie onto a piece of parchment paper and put that into a shallow pan like a pie plate.
  4. Mix the maple syrup and pecans. Drizzle generously over the top of the brie, letting it drizzle down the sides and underneath the cheese.
  5. Top with the pecans.
  6. Set it into the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
  7. Serve immediately. If the cheese gets firm as it chills, you can also use a sharp knife to cut little wedges and serve on the crackers or apples.

Notes

This cheese is best when served immediately. Leftovers can be stored in an air tight container in the refrigerator for at least one day. It's best if it's reheated or warmed up in a 300 degree oven for a few minutes.
